The Mona Lisa WorldThe meaning?
The purpose?
The definition is unknown.
An expression?
Maybe.
But what does it mean?
Happiness?
No.
Because it's not always real.
Sadness?
No.
Because it's not always fake.
A word I cannot define.
If I were to know,
would it be different?
But then why?
Why don't I know?
Normal people do it all the time.
But it's fake.
Maybe real, but fake.
Not sincere.
The expression is supposedly a treasure.
More beautiful then diamonds.
Than platinum.
Just a little bit less than love.
As if I could even talk about that.
The mystery behind the action.
To raise the sides of your lips.
What's the answer the problem?
The piece to the puzzle?
Why is it that people smile?

A toe off of the edge.
I think of stepping over,
Falling to my death.
I know it's not right,
But it's what I feel.
I just can't help it,
Only it's real.
What do you do when you've lost everything?
Find solisce in drugs?
A release for the pain?
A burning ache,
A foreign fever.
A cataclysm of hate,
That tips the meter.
But I step back,
Admire the view,
Pull myself together,
Then think of you.

Silently"You'll be okay," they told me
but said goodbye to the old me,

then left me to die,
and ignored every cry.

Tears that fall silently,
unseen, still violently

leave scars on my skin.
And with my voice so thin,

I know I will rue
now what I'm telling you.

So I will just smile
and say by the pile,

"I'm fine again."
But I'm screaming in pain!

You call me a waste of space and that you can't stand me.

When the dust settles you say you don't mean it.
You say I should know better than to believe it.

As usual I foolishly upkeep your illusive hold on me.
I allow you to mute my thoughts and take control of me.

You promise and reassure me that it will never happen again.
That this is the last time and you will put it all to an end.

But I know promises only comfort fools,
Who readily allow others to pull the wool

Over our eyes because it is easier to swallow the lies.

I know it’s not right,

Would it really matter?

Love until DeathI look through the window of the airplane,
What I see I cannot explain,
I see her name in the blue sky!
She’s haunting me, I don’t know why.

How many poems for her I have written,
From everyone my feelings for her I have hidden.
I thought my love for her will not last long,
Time passed and I was proven wrong.

Our difference and distance did not change my heart,
This feeling in my life plays its part.
Same rhymes in my poems many can hear,
As my love for her will never disappear.

To forget her many times I tried,
But my soul to me always lied,
And I still live with this lie,
I will love until I die…

Emotional BreakIs it time now? Must I really
give you up? My heart is breaking
at the thought of no longer being
able to call you mine.

My sweetest love, my one, my only.
You have always been the first face
I see when I wake, and the last
when I sleep. From the time before
conscious memory.

I was serious when I said that
I would no longer want to live
with you gone....and...ARE you?
Are you gone now? I can't feel you...

For the last week, I have been feeling you
just slip away from me...until...until now, I
feel nothing. All you left me with has faded
away, and I no longer know if you are even alive.

Morning is watching Tom and Jerry
while the coffee brews.
Morning is a catnap on the couch
as bacon sizzles in the pan.
Morning is too much syrup on pancakes
so there’s some left for the toast to soak up.

I let the dog out
to the blue before dawn,
pour myself a cup of coffee
filling up my Hello Kitty mug
and stir a bit of creamer (French Vanilla)
to give it more flavor.

The sun begins to rise
and my alarm sounds at exactly
6:05.
Groaning, I reach to turn it off
and trudge downstairs
where my mother waits.
